How to see only the competitor flights you could have won

Product: AIR

When to use this:

A competitor's total flight count doesn't tell you much if half of it happened while you were closed. Filter their activity down to just your own opening hours, and what's left is the traffic you actually could have handled: a real number, not a padded one. Use it to build an honest competitive benchmark, make the case for extending your hours, or pull a call list of operators who flew into a competitor exactly when you were open and ready.

Example: you're open 06:00–20:00. A competitor airport shows 120 departures last month, but only 40 of those fall inside your hours. That's your real addressable market, not their headline number.

Steps:

  1. In AIR, go to Operators > Operator Activity.
  2. Use + Add a filter to set the competitor airport you want to analyze.
  3. In the Flight Profiles panel on the right, click the pencil next to Departure Hour to set it to your own opening hours (e.g. 06:00–20:00), and do the same for Arrival Hour.
  4. If your hours vary by day, set Departure Weekday / Arrival Weekday too.
  5. Check the Operator Performance table below: every operator and tailsign left is activity that happened inside your own hours.
  6. Export the list (Excel/CSV icon, or Create Reports) for your outreach list or benchmarking report.
