Self Serve Dashboards

Self-Serve Dashboards let you build your own view inside AIR Insight, instead of working only from the pre-built module tabs. You choose which graphs, datasets and tables matter to you, lay them out across one or more tabs, and export the result as a PDF or PowerPoint. It's the fastest way to put together a custom view for a specific report, meeting or recurring check, without waiting on someone else to build it for you.

Where to find it

Go to AIR Insight Business Aviation and open the Create Reports menu. Alongside Custom Data Export and PDF Export, select Self Serve Dashboard.

The first time you land

The first time you open Self Serve Dashboard, a welcome card walks you through the basics: edit mode, tabs, widgets, text, layout, saving and exporting. Click Got it, Start Building! to dismiss it and get started.

Building your dashboard

 1. Enter edit mode. Click Edit to unlock the toolbar: Widget, Text, Layout, Save and Cancel.

2. Add widgets. Click Widget to open the Add Widgets panel. Every widget is ready to use as-is: the chart type, dimension and metric are already set, and each card comes with a short description of what it shows and when to pick it, for example a bar chart of departures by operator, or a world map of departures by airport. Select the ones you want and click Add Selected. You can add up to 6 widgets per tab, and 18 in total across your dashboard.

3. Arrange your canvas. Drag a widget's title to move it, or drag its corner to resize it. Use the red X on any widget to remove it.

4. Add text. Click Text to drop a text box onto the canvas for notes, labels or section headers. Use the formatting controls to set size, bold or italic.

5. Add more tabs. Click the + next to your tab to create a separate canvas for a different view or report. You can have up to 3 tabs. Remember to save after adding a tab.

6. Save. Click Save whenever you want to keep your changes. Nothing is kept until you save, so feel free to experiment along the way.

Exporting and Sharing

1. Choose a layout. Click Layout and pick PDF Portrait, PDF Landscape, PPT or Freestyle. Toggle Include filters if you want your active filters to show on the export.

2. Export. Once your layout is set, export your dashboard as a PDF or PowerPoint to share outside the platform.
