How to track tail utilisation for a target operator

When to use this:

You want to know how many flight hours per aircraft a rival operator is achieving — tail by tail. High utilisation indicates a profitable fleet; lower utilisation may signal an aircraft owner who is dissatisfied with their management performance.

Steps:

1.  Open AIR and go to the Aircraft tab, Airframe analysis

2.  Select a target operator name in the filters

3.  Scroll down to get to the pivot table and add the tailsign dimension to break down by individual aircraft

4.  Switch on the hours metrics

5.  Save as a bookmark so you can revisit this view regularly
