How to track the size and direction of the charter market

When to use this:

You need to quantify the charter market — departures, flight hours, and trends — in a specific country, to support lobbying, industry reporting, or policy submissions. Understanding whether the market is growing or contracting is essential for making the case to regulators and government.

Steps:

1.  Open AIR and go to the Calendar Trends view, YOY 

2.  Set the time period filter (e.g. full year 2025, Last year)

3.  Filter by aircraft segment (e.g.Super Midsize Jet)

4  Filter by departure country (e.g. United Kingdom)

5.  Check the different YOY views: departures, flight hours, fuel uplift to see how the market has moved across the year

6.  Export the data for use in reports or presentations
